Kenneth Arlo Jensen, 84, Aberdeen, SD, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Prairie Heights Healthcare, Aberdeen.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Mike Jacobson officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the mortuary. Casual dress is preferred.

A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center, with a private burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the luncheon.

Kenneth Arlo Jensen was born May 15, 1939, in Aberdeen, SD to Louis and Constance (Larson) Jensen, where he was raised. He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Donna Heiszler in Aberdeen on September 9, 1962. He worked for Schaeffer Concrete before owning and operating a drywall business, later working many years for Kyburz Carlson Construction Co. until his retirement in 2015. He continued to make Aberdeen his home until his passing.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Oakland Raiders Football fan. He also loved spending time with family.

Grateful for having shared Kenneth’s life are his wife, Donna; children: Scott (Theresa) Jensen of Mina Lake, SD, Cindy (Dale) Wright of Darwin, MN, Stacy (William Frazier) Dinger of Bath, SD, Tracy (Kris Schwab) Huettl,of Aberdeen, SD, and Ken (Cheryl Olson) Jensen of Aberdeen, SD; grandchildren: Nicole, Ashley, Tyler, Taryon, Travis, Bridget, Austin, Trent, Mindy and Kenny; 21 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Harlan (Bev) Jensen of Duluth, MN, Lewis (Mary) Jensen of Hermantown, MN, Oswald “OJ” Jensen of Eden Prairie, MN, Richard “Butch” Jensen of Aberdeen, SD, Beverly Olson of Aberdeen, SD, Lyle (Linda) Jensen of Superior, WI, Juanita (Tim) Hass of Tulare, SD, Lila Herman of Arvada, CO, and Carol (Dan) Wolf of Aberdeen, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Constance: sister, Cynthia Lou; and brother Leroy.
